Mouthing Off Artists’ Spotlight
In this series, we will be showcasing the work and experiences of our Resident Artists, who have taken the time to have a chat with us either over Zoom or email. We hope that through these interviews our readers will be able to get to know our artists, what they do, and how they have made their way to where they are now. Our Resident Artists work in a diverse range of media, from painting and drawing to ceramics and film, so there should be something of interest for everyone!
The artist featured this week is Beth Givens, who currently works as Mouthing Off’s Art Director and illustrator. Alongside undertaking a Fine Art degree at Solent University, Southampton, Beth has spent her summer working hard here at Mouthing Off and building up her portfolio. Her work primarily focuses on nature, colour, and pattern- in particular how these all come together in everyday life. Whilst Beth mainly works with drawing materials, her goals include continuing to develop her skills in installation and animation.
We hope you enjoy watching Beth’s interview, and that the insight into her experiences helps to inspire our readers to continue pursuing their own goals- whether or not they are art related! Don’t forget to check out Beth’s Artist Page on our website as well as her Instagram to see more of her work.
See you again next week!
