Mouthing Off Artists’ Spotlight: Molly Lambourn

In this series, we will be showcasing the work and experiences of our Resident Artists, who have taken the time to have a chat with us either over Zoom or email. We hope that through these interviews our readers will be able to get to know our artists, what they do, and how they have made their way to where they are now. Our Resident Artists work in a diverse range of media, from painting and drawing to ceramics and film, so there should be something of interest for everyone!
Our featured artist this week is Molly Lambourn, a mixed-media artist from Kent whose artwork examines the themes of self-reflection, mental health, and feminism. Previously a history graduate from the University of Warwick, Molly has spent the last year pursuing a Master’s in fine art and honing her craft. Her dedication has produced a portfolio of beautifully intricate drawings and paintings, as well as a stunning series of ceramics titled ‘Welcome To My World’.
Molly has also been building her business, Sophie Stokes, a slow-fashion brand which sells 100% recycled plastic jewellery. Taking inspiration from retro designs and colours, Molly’s jewellery creations are beautifully unique statement pieces certain to brighten your day and your wardrobe. Molly will be launching a new Sophie Stokes Pastel collection in the near future, so be sure to keep an eye on her social media pages and website!
